C&D cupcakes on the One Show

Here's some cupcakes we did for Christine Bleakley (of BBC One Show fame) for her birthday and to celebrate her Sport Relief attempt to water-ski across the English Channel. Check above for the moment Christine was presented with them by boxing champ David Haye, or relive the moment on the BBC's snazzy iPlayer.
Happy Birthday Christine!

Flavour of the Month - Salted Caramel!

Hi all. Just a very quick post to officially announce that February's Flavour of the Month will be...Salted Caramel! We've been looking into the many and wonderful flavour possibilities of salted caramel for some time (as the gang's expanding waistlines can attest) and we're absolutely delighted to have found a way to capture all it's salty, sweet, moreish glory in cupcake form.
We're so excited in fact that we're going to be unleashing them a couple of days early - pop along to our Kings Road stall in Chelsea tomorrow for a sneak peak!
On a related note we've re-jigged the Flavour of the Month page on the website slightly, so you can now see what the next few flavours will be and plan your cupcake buying life accordingly. Check it out here.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Black and ivory tower

Another delightful shot of our cupcakes doing their thing out in the big wide world, this time from Becky, who had these lovely black, ivory and gold ones at her wedding. Très stylish.

Christmas wedding tower!

Hi everyone! And a special hi to long-time C&D fan and newly-married man Sean, who was kind enough to send us through these lovely pictures of the wedding cupcakes we did for his Christmassy wedding. Sean, of course, wooed his fiancée with the highly-regarded Jigglypuff cupcakes. Who could resist?
Congratulations guys!

Wedding brochures available!

Hi all. If you're planning a wedding and fancy having some of our cupcakes then the wedding pages over on the main site are a great place to start. But for those of you who fancy something a bit more physical you can now order one of our spangly wedding brochures - they contain lots of lovely pictures as well as prices, information and other stuff to help you out when planning your wedding cupcakes. Just the thing to show to the not-so-computer-literate inlaws or flick through on those dull bus journeys.
There is a cost involved (£12) but that cost includes P&P in the UK and a free voucher for a box of cupcakes from our Kings Road stall in Chelsea. Of course, you don't need to order a brochure to order our cupcakes - it's just a little extra. You can find out more and order your brochure here.

Competition winner - December!

Hi all. Just a quick post to congratulate Michelle, who scooped last month's Name the Cupcake competition with her answer, O come all ye tasteful. A box of 3 dozen delicious mini cupcakes will be winging its way to Michelle real soon. In the meantime we're giving the competition a bit of a break for January, but don't worry - it'll be back and better than ever next month!

White wedding

...And we're back! Hi all - hope you had a wonderful Christmas and an extra-spangly New Year's Eve. The gang have been (mostly) taking a little breather over the festive period so sorry for the shortage of blog posts. We're back up and running now though, and while I wait for the latest cupcake pics to transfer from my camera here's a quick look at a delightful white wedding tower we did for Jonathan and Megan just before Christmas.

Special Christmas offer this Saturday!

Hi all. We're all booked out for Christmas this year, but as a little gift from us here's a very special little voucher that will entitle you to one of our fantastic Christmas Gift Boxes of 15 mini cupcakes for the amazing price of just £10 (a saving of a third on our normal prices!) this Saturday from either of our central London market stalls (Kings Road and Covent Garden).
Simply click on the picture above to open the voucher in a new window, print it out and present it at either stall to claim your special price box. The offer is limited to one box per customer and per voucher, and is subject to availability. We'll bring as many cupcakes as possible but we won't be taking any reservations or orders so our advice is to come early to secure your special price box.
Happy Christmas everyone!

Some pictoral cupcake action

Here's some pretty specific (as in pretty and specific) cupcakes we did for Rich, who needed some logos, a mint leaf and an artists brush piped onto his order. And why not? Does make you wonder what it's all about though... Suggestions on a postcard!

Raspberry chocolate wedding cupcakes

...Not actually chocolate raspberry flavoured, but the colours for Tracey's wedding were based around a chocolate and raspberry kinda colour palette, so we knocked up these delightful cupcakes to match. Red Velvet, Chocolate and Vanilla I think actually; nice to see the Red Velvets playing so well with the more established flavours.

Competition winner - November!

Morning all. A very quick post to say congratulations to Karen, who's scooped the Name the Cupcake competition for November thanks to her ghoulishly good entry, Gateau Lantern!
Well Done Karen - one of my minions will be in touch just as soon as possible to hook you up with your prize of 3 dozen mini cupcakes! For everyone who didn't win there's no need to be too downhearted; a new cupcake will be up on the main site and available for naming in the next few minutes.

Flavour of the Month - November

Guess what? It's Flavour of the Month time again... Allow me to introduce you to the latest member of our select cupcake gang - Red Velvet! It's something of a well-worn classic in the cupcake world so we've spent a very long time working on our Red Velvet flavour to ensure it's the best around. A moist, slightly tart chocolate-y vanilla-y sponge topped with a rich, smooth cream cheese frosting, these bad boys are personally responsible for a noticeable rise in the average weight of the C&D kitchen crew. All in the name of research of course - and we think it's been worth it!
Our Red Velvet cupcakes will be available to order in the usual way throughout November and of course you can also buy them direct from our Kings Road and Covent Garden market stalls.

Modern Comic Classic Cupcakes

Wow - that's a lot of Cs isn't it? Still, could have been worse - I could have titled it contemporary rather than modern. Aaanywhoo... Here's some sweet comic book cupcakes we did for Lydia's 21st.
Lydia was so pleased we even got a little thank you note -
Just wanted to drop a line to say thanks for doing the Spiderman/Batman/Watchmen cupcakes for my 21st! Wow, they were amazing! You've done cakes for my 18th, 19th and parents wedding and these cakes for my 21st were by far the best! Everyone loved them and were so jealous when they found out Id actually hidden the special ones with the comic logos on them so they couldnt eat them! Expect an order for my boyfriends birthday in January, we're both a little geeky and he loved them! How do you fancy trying to do some Thundercats or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cakes???
Woah - TMNT cupcakes? Cow, and if you will, abunga.
Happy Birthday Lydia!

New & spangly 'retweet' buttons!

Hi all. Unless you've been living under a rock (or perhaps even if you have been, as long as the rock has internet access) you'll probably have heard about the fun and frolics to be had over on Twitter. It's a way for everyone to keep people updated on things, stuff and gubbins (what you had for breakfast, what the latest sprinkles to arrive in your delivery are, etc.). Obviously we wouldn't want to be left behind, so you can keep abreast of all the latest up-to-the-minute minutiae at C&D HQ over on our Twitter page.
But wait! There's (a little bit) more! Those of you already on the Twitter train can now use the handy green buttons on each of my little blog posts to retweet fabby cupcake content via your own Tweets! Sign in to your Twitter account and click on the little fellas (like the one above) to draft a URL link to that post in your Twitterator.
Happy Tweeting everyone!
