Old York Road Street Party on Saturday!

The C&D Chelsea stall will be open as usual of course on Duke of York Square this Saturday, but those of you living South of the river might fancy popping along to the Old York Road street party, which will be taking place on Old York Road from 12pm. It's just by our new kitchens so as well as loads of other family fun and entertainment we'll be there with a little stall crammed with yummy cupcakes. Pop by and say hi if you're in the area - we'll be just outside Wandsworth Town train station.

Competition cake - October!

Woah - sorry everyone. I got stuck into a pretty serious sprinkle cataloguing session and completely forgot about this month's competition cupcake. Competition winner - September!

Hi all, and a very special hi to Darren, who we picked as the winner of this month's Name the Cupcake competition. Darren suggested the inspired Bearcelona Vs Dinosaur Kiev; a little on the lengthy side, but we felt it really hit the target.

Special thanks to everyone else who entered, most notably Paul (Match-chew-pitch-o), Chris (On Me Ted, son) and Emma (Teddy Sheringham v Ronal-dino) whose entries we also loved. One of my people will be in touch to hook you up with a little consolation prize.

For everyone who didn't win there's no need to get too downhearted - there'll be another cupcake ready for naming up on the site a little later today. I'll let you know when it 'goes live', as they say.

Covent Garden Fashion Fete this Saturday

Hi all. Just a quick one to let you know that there's going to be a Fashion Fete in Covent Garden this coming Saturday. Amongst the attractions on offer will be a cupcake decorating competition with cupcakes, icing and sprinkles supplied by us, and we'll also be setting up a little stall so you can buy some of our cupcakes on the day too.

There's also going to be a tonne of other fun stuff to do including local fashion shop discounts, makeovers, a fashion tug of war (me neither), Celebrity fashion faux-pas plate smashing, doggy catwalks, model scouts from Models 1 and loads of other traditional British fête activities with a fashion-y twist.

The fun starts at 11am and runs through till 6pm on the East Piazza in Covent Garden - see y'all there!

Flavour of the Month - September!

More exciting cupcake flavour news - this month's Flavour of the Month is Lemon and Poppyseed cupcakes with cream cheese icing.

Made using organic unwaxed lemons and organic poppyseeds they're light, smooth, delicious and so natural that they're practically good for you. Practically. Our Lemon and Poppyseed cupcakes will be available from the markets on Thursdays and Saturdays and of course to order by the dozen in the usual way all throughout September.

New flavours!

Morning all. It's all change (well, some change) in the C&D kitchens today as we're officially changing the standard flavours to include two new offerings - Vanilla Rose and Earl Grey flavours!

Both Vanilla Rose and Earl Grey have appeared previously as flavours of the month of course, and we've been getting such a lot of requests for them that we thought it only right to offer them as part of our everyday selection. We'll be selling them as part of our weekly selection at both the Covent Garden and Kings Road stalls on Thursdays and Saturdays, and of course you can order them any time you like by dropping us a line!
