Easter cupcakes!

That's right - everyone's second-favourite Christian festival is just around the corner, and we'll be celebrating in style by holding an Easter Eggstravaganza (I'm contractually obliged to call it that apparently) at our market stall on Duke of York Square, Kings Road, on Saturday 22nd March.

Because we tend to sell out pretty quickly at these types of things we'll be giving everyone the chance to reserve their Easter cupcakes ahead of time for collection on the day. There's two great offers to choose from - our Easter Box (15 mini cupcakes in a nice box with ribbon and stuff) and our Easter Eggbox (6 mini cupcakes in a cute coloured egg carton).

You can place and pay for your order over on the main site (here), and then all you have to do is make your way to the Kings Road on Saturday 22nd (10am-3pm) to collect.

Christmas Market Special!

Hi Everyone. It's very nearly Christmas, and this Saturday we'll be running a Christmas Special at the market.

For the not-very-princely sum of £10 you'll be able to buy one of our great gift boxes of 15 mini cupcakes, all wrapped up and complete with a little card for you to write on. They're perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts, parties, or just lazing on the sofa with a cuppa watching Raiders of the Lost Arc for the fifteenth time.

We'll be bringing as many boxes along with us as we can, but availability is going to be limited, so we're not taking any pre-orders or reservations. The market opens at 10am, and is a 3min walk down the Kings Road from Sloane Square tube. You can find full details on our site by clicking here.

The 1st Day of Christmas

'Twas two weeks before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...Except me. I was well busy.

Flavour of the Month!

Big news everyone - from this month C&D is introducing a special Flavour of the Month cupcake!

Every month, we'll be offering a special, limited-edition flavour to sit alongside our other great varieties. Each month's Flavour of the Month will be available to order for that month only, and will also be available to buy every weekend during the month at our stall on the Kings Road on Saturdays. We'll put details of each flavour up on the website every month, along with tip-off about the next month's flavour, in case you'd like to get your orders in early.

Anywho, this month's Flavour of the Month is a bit of a no-brainer - it's Christmas Cupcakes! That's right, all the flavour of Christmas (minus the family rows and questionable screwdriver set that converts into a birdfeeder-type presents) in a cupcake! Warming Christmas spices, natural unrefined brown sugar and real brandy buttercream icing, all topped off with a healthy sprinkling of good cheer (and sprinkles, of course).

Our Christmas Cupcakes will be at the Kings Road stall from this Saturday, and are also available to order from the site - you can get them by the dozen, and there'll be some nestled in our great value Christmas boxes too.

Firework cupcakes!

Remember, remember the 5th of November... I know I do - it happened yesterday. Anyway, here's some fantastic firework cupcakes we did for Wendy's wedding on Monday.

My knowledge of 17th Century Catholic bombing attempts is a little shaky, but it's hard to believe that the whole thing couldn't have been resolved with a few of these bad boys rather than a tub-full of explosives...Whatever floats your boat though I suppose.

Congratulations Wendy - here's hoping the big day 'went off' with a 'bang' (I know, I know).

Ok, ok, I'm a bit late on this one, but what can I say - I'm a busy monkey. Here's some yummy chocolate cupcakes we did yesterday for Tania, who was celebrating Bastille Day.

Easter surprise

A box of surprise Easter cupcakes from Marcia for her daughter Grace. Sugar flowers, mini eggs, Easter chicks, sugar strands, dots...the whole shebang. Happy Easter Marcia and Grace!

And a very Happy Easter to everyone else out there in cyberland too - don't forget, we'll be setting up shop (er, stall) at Sunday UpMarket in London's lively East End tomorrow, with a selection of special Easter cupcakes and other fun stuff. Come and say hi and I might even give you a free cake. Speaking of which, I'd better get back to my sprinkles - those cupcakes won't ice themselves...

Sprinkles - Easter special!

Easter Sunday's fast approaching, and what better way to celebrate the big day than with a box of Crumbs and Doilies Easter cupcakes?

We'll be having a bit of an Easter eggstravaganza this weekend at Sunday UpMarket, with specially-decorated cupcakes, mini-eggs and more fluffy chicks than you can shake a stick at. If you're around London's east end, and you're not too full of chocolate, then pop in and see us - we'll be there from 10am til 4pm.

Yummy Mummy cupcakes

As part of their Yummy Mummy Mother's Day promotion, Links of London asked us to prepare a couple of hundred mini-cupcakes, iced in pink and lavender and decorated with sugar flowers and piping. They also wanted each cake packaged in a little bag, to be given away with champagne as part of an in-store offer. A couple of hours of baking, icing, piping, bagging and ribbon-tying later... Voila - cupcakes fit for the even the yummiest mummy.

Valentine's Day

Crumbs and Doilies took to the streets this Valentine's Day to spread the love, via the medium of cupcakes, among the good people of central London. We had a huge number of orders to get through, but our crack force of delivery agents made sure they reached their intended recipients on time, while I stayed behind to keep an eye on the sprinkle stocks. A big thank-you to all the people who ordered, and also to John, C&D's newest recruit, for helping with the deliveries.

Love is in the air

Seeing as we're gearing up for our Valentine's Day special, it was great to get an order for a wedding cupcake tower with a Valentine's theme. Red heart sprinkles, white icing and some hand-crafted sugar flowers for that extra je ne sais quoi, as I think they probably say in the land of love...

If your better half lives in central London, you can take the stress out of the big V-Day by ordering a beautifully wrapped box of sweet, sweet cupcakes to be hand-delivered with an accompanying note saying whatever you like.

All this for £20 and a couple of clicks of a mouse! What could be easier? It certainly beats a box of Milk Tray and a rose form next door's garden.
